I have already done multiple rounds of updating the distro, restarting WSL through PowerShell, checking Microsoft Store for updates (nothing), and restarting my computer, none of which have resolved the issue. It has happened both with and without an active process running in that terminal. Beyond that, I have not successfully tracked a pattern for when this happens, like any kind of time-out period. If I have multiple tabs open, they will all shut down together (or, at least, during the same sleep period). The shutdown happens only when my computer is asleep, but it also doesn't automatically happen every time my computer goes to sleep. The error appears to be a Window Terminal problem, but I am using the latest stable release for Windows 10 (v.0) and the problem specifically emerged when I switched over to the Microsoft Store WSL2 installation in December. The distro is Ubuntu LTS 20.04.5 and I am using Windows Terminal. Ever since switching to the Microsoft Store installation/update for my WSL2 setup, my terminal mysteriously shuts itself down without any intervention from me:
